2022 – 2023 Board of Directors

Tracy Landrith, President

Tracy has worked as a IT Service Center Specialist and Student Staff Manager at Furman University since 2012.  She manages a team of 20-30 students who support 3,000 +/- students, as well as, all faculty, staff, retirees, conferences and guests.  She is a Southern Wesleyan University Alum earning her MBA and BSBA.  Tracy has worked in Higher Education for almost twenty years and hopes to always work with students going forward.  She resides in Greenville, SC – yeah, THAT Greenville.

Her first ResNet Student Technology Conference was 2017 in Cullowhee, NC.  She was elected to the Board in 2019 in St. Louis, MO.

Julie Prouty, Vice President of Conference Management

As a board member from 2017 thru 2019, I enjoyed learning all about the process of planning a successful conference and working with the dedicated people who make it all happen. It was so exciting to see all the work and collaboration come together 2018 and 2019 conferences in Boulder and St. Louis. I would be honored to return to serve on the ResNet Board of Directors and contribute in a larger way with some experience to build on. Seeing the Board carry on with virtual programs and the summer conference online was very encouraging for me. Continuing in a virtual format provided a valuable resource and connection for the whole ResNet community when it was needed the most.

KD Grainger-Peixoto, Vice President of Communications

KD Grainger-Peixoto is the Manager, Communications and Connect-IT Services at Western University (Canada). She manages a student staff team of 25-30 who support 6,000+ students in residence. KD has been working with students and technology in higher education for 10 years. She is a Western University Alumni with a Media/Broadcast Journalism degree. She began working at RezNet as a student and after attending a past ResNet conference changed her career path to continue working with students and technology.

In her spare time, KD enjoys reading (and reviewing) books, photography, and candle-making.

Roy Zumwalt, Treasurer

Roy is the Network Administrator for the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science at the University of North Texas. The Academy is a premier gifted and talented residential program for high school juniors and seniors interested in careers in math and science. He has been with the Academy for 16 years managing full time, part time and volunteer student staff in the support of the TAMS network in the areas of student life, academics, admissions and administrative offices.

Roy is currently working on a PhD in Information Science and has received his MS in Computer Education and Cognitive Systems and a BBA in Finance from the University of North Texas.

Roy has attended 13 ResNet conferences beginning in 1998 at Emory University. He has sat on several committees and became the Treasurer for ResNet, Inc. in 2010.

Sarah Luckart, Clerk of the Corporation

Hi, my name is Sarah and I use they/them pronouns. I am currently the Student Technician Program Manager at Yale University — I currently oversee 50-70 Student Technicians who provide in-person and remote troubleshooting, as well as a full service hardware repair office. I started my career as a student technician here at Yale — I had absolutely no prior tech experience and learned everything I know on the job, right here in the same office I work in today. I’ve found a passion for providing the same professional development opportunity to future generations of students, and promoting tech-literacy even for those who don’t choose a job within the field.

Ryan Peters, Director at Large

My name is Ryan Peters, and I’ve been a part of the Information Technology community in Syracuse for 6 years, and 3 of those years have been at Syracuse University. I was introduced to this organization by a colleague of mine, the Co-Vice President Jon Wright and after some research I found that this organization’s views on advancing technology greatly align with my own. I’ve always had a passion for bringing bleeding edge technology to any organization I’ve been a part of, and helping others understand it. My experience comes from implementing and supporting systems that support the Syracuse University community.

Marian Holiday-White, Director at Large

I am Marian Holiday- White from Durham, NC. I am the Director of Client Services at North Carolina Central University with over 22 years in various leadership roles. I have a passion fortechnology and providing outstanding customer service. In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing with a book, listening to music and traveling. I have had the pleasure attending several ResNet conferences since 2007. I have always been impressed and enjoyed each conference I have
attended.

Jon Wright, Director at Large

I attended my first ResNET conference in 1997 after accepting a newly created position at Syracuse University managing the brand new ResNET service.  As a regular attendee of the conference since that time I have benefited from the ideas, enthusiasm and relationships I have discovered at these gatherings.  In the past 4 years, serving alternately as Program Chair or Co Chair, I have been able to see more intimately the work that goes into a successful conference.  Working with the program committee I have enjoyed interacting with the BOD and contributing the success of the conference.  After watching the conference adapt in the past 22 years to a changing and challenging Higher Ed technical support environment I would like to join the Board of Directors.  This would allow me to give back and support the conference by collaborating creatively and participating in the yearly conference creation process.
